-Reimagine the swappable case of the EcoFlow RAPID Pro X competition-
A big thank you to Bambu Lab / Maker World and EcoFlow for this amazing experience and opportunity.
Hi everyone,
My name is Simon. While I hold a Master of Design. I am new to 3D printing only been doing it for about 12 months. 3D modelling however is something very new to me. I only have been doing it for a few months.
Inbetween everyday life and responsibilities. Please be kind and any feedback is greatly appreciated. As this is my first model posting on Maker World. I have used multiple plates to save time and filament wastage and make it easier for those without an AMS. However, the logo plate is easier with AMS. Design can be done in PLA, PETG etc but it does require that one roll be TPU.
I used FreeCAD, Blender, Bambu Studio and Illustrator (SVG creation) other than a little “how to” / ”Where is” from Google and YouTube it was all me 100%
About my entry:
EcoFlow RAPID Pro X, Guardian Explorer
I wanted to be able to take the EcoFlow RAPID Pro X basically anywhere safely and securely.
Other than some superglue I wanted people to be able to print it out in their choice of colours without the need for anything else.
I wanted to ensure the screen & buttons were protected from knocks or scratches. While still look cool and unique. TPU filament was idea for this task. The screen protector connects easily to the custom swappable panel. It doubles as a way of ensuring the swappable case cannot become detached from the main EcoFlow RAPID Pro X unit, No matter what your activity. With a nice little node to Bambu included on the screen protector. Wanna see more of the display, not a problem just use a transparent TPU Filament. The TPU screen protector has only been on the mock-up model in the photos for about an hour so given more time to take shape it will have an even better fit and look.
The TPU Belt securely attaches to the belt holder on the swappable case. With a nice 2 colour ECOFLOW plate to top it off. The belt connects to a special locking mechanism/unit so that you can easily secure it to your pants/jeans belt loop, backpack handbag etc. In fact, this let you attach it too basically anything. Without the worry of loss or damage. This also greatly reduces the chance of theft. Because of the locking mechanism and the strong and harder to cut TPU Belt.
Assembly: (See photos for additional reference)
-SuperGlue the two side mounts onto the round towers on the custom swappable panel
-Slide the TPU Belt into the belt holder, the rectangle block should seat snugly inside the belt holder.
-Attach the Logo Plate on top of the belt holder. (It holds well, but you can SuperGlue for a more secure fit if you like)
-SuperGlue the Belt Holder to the swappable panel’s rectangle tower. (PLEASE ENSURE THE BELT HOLDER IS ATTACHED WITH THE BELT END FACING THE TOP END OF THE SWAPPABLE PANEL.
-Once dry attach the TPU Screen protector to the swappable panel side mounts.
-Lay the unit on its back (belt holder logo plate is the back)
Special locking mechanism/unit
The bottom plate (Round plate with stud in the middle) slide belt into it and put the 2nd hole in the belt though the stud. Now take the middle plate the green one in my photos put some SuperGlue on either side of bottom side and set it in place on the bottom plate (ensure the middle plate towers are running in line with the belt).
-Once dry it’s ready to attach slide it though a loop on your bag for example. Then slide the belt into the middle plate till the hole in the belt is over the stud. Now push the top plate on. It’s a very firm hold but for extra security put the small TPU belt on. Each tower has a little notch to hold it.
You’re all done. Enjoy 😊
