Carvera Original & Carvera Air CNC: Mounting Plate for Xin Dian H54-8-55 Self-Centering Vise

This is a custom mounting plate designed for the Xin Dian H54-8-55 Self-Centering Vise, made to provide fast and repeatable setups on both the Carvera Original CNC (with automatic tool changer) and the Carvera Air CNC.

The plate aligns with Anchor 2 on the Carvera bed, giving a consistent offset of X 27 mm / Y 37.5 mm from the Anchor 2 location to the vise center. That means no more repeated probing—just drop in your stock, set your offsets once in CAM or directly in the Carvera controller off the Anchor 2 position, and start cutting.

 

Two of the mounting holes are elongated, allowing this single plate to mount securely on both machines despite their slightly different bed patterns.

 

The vise itself measures 75 × 54 × 44 mm with 55 mm jaws, making it ideal for most small CNC projects even though it’s not a low-profile vise.

Versions Offered:

• 🧱 Machined Version:
  It is recommended to mill this version from aluminum for maximum rigidity and precision.
  A STEP file is included for CNC machining or modifying the design—for example, adjusting screw head sizes or mounting patterns.
  You will need 4× M5×8 mm screws with heads no larger than 10.5 mm in diameter.
   

  A DXF file for a mini wasteboard is also included.

   

• 🧩 3D-Printed Version:
  Perfect for test fits or light-duty workholding.
  All holes include 0.3 mm clearance for accurate fit after printing, and ironing is enabled on all top surfaces for a smooth, professional finish.

• Aligns to Anchor 2 using 4 mm dowel pins
• Provides fixed, repeatable positioning for both Carvera models
• Compatible with the Xin Dian H54-8-55 Self-Centering Vise
• 3D-print version ideal for alignment checks or light duty milling
