Adapted and formatted a 1:12.5 scale model of the Vekoma Mk1212 roller coaster train car, originally created on Thinigverse by Don1975. The model was remixed a few times on MyMiniFactory, and I've pulled certain parts from a few different remixes, setting up supports and painting in Bambu Studio for easier printing on an X1C or similar printer.
Some notes:
- Only the main car piece is painted and would require an AMS if desired, but everything else is printable without an AMS, and the car could easily just be hand-painted.
- Note that most plates are smooth, to allow for better gluing and bonding. Only the “concrete” base pads were printed on a textured plate, though you should be fine printing on whatever as long as you are prepared for potentially more sanding before gluing.
- I printed the axel/wheel parts in PETG for added layer strength, but some of the remixes on MyMiniFactory used metal bolts, so feel free to reference those (linked in sidebar).
- The whole model is painted to match the Wildfire coaster at Silver Dollar City (nephew's favorite), but it's easy to recolor by changing the project filaments in BS.
- Used Makkuro's Sweeping 2-line name plate customizer to make a model name display.
