Description
This print marks my first exploration into the fascinating world of 3D-printed “fabrics.” It’s a small chainmail segment made of slightly curved, interlocking rings designed to move freely without tangling. The goal was to find a balance between flexibility and stability — creating a surface that feels both soft and structured.
Printed flat in one piece, it’s ready to move straight off the build plate. A simple start to experimenting with printed textiles, motion, and geometry. Part of my Everydays Challenge: designing, modeling, and printing something new each day to stay creative and grow as a 3D designer.
If you like what I’m doing, follow me and check back tomorrow to see what’s next in stock for the Everydays Challenge!
If you print this model, please leave a like or thumbs-up — it really helps keep the motivation going.
And don’t forget to share your make photos — I’d love to see your version of it in action!
