Dewalt Mitre Saw Wall Mount

This is a wall mount for a Dewalt DWS779 Mitre Saw

Don't attempt this without having ABS or PETG at a minimum. You'll also need to be experienced with basic home improvement. 

This will only work if you have something very secure to fasten into. For a standard wall, you'll need a 2x10 or possibly a 2x8 that is securely fastened to the wall via STUDS (not drywall anchors!). 

Secure the wood to the wall and level it the best you can. Then you'll need to measure the distance between the handle rails and fasten the mounts into the correct positions. Ensure they're level and spaced correctly. 

Prior to mounting the Mitre Saw, ensure that the HANDLES ARE SECURELY FASTENED TO THE SAW. This is crucial. I recommend mounting it low to the ground because this saw is heavy as hell and bringing it up past your torso is gonna require a lot of strength. 

I printed this in ABS with 5 walls and 30% gyroid infill. It has been hanging securely for about 6 months now without any signs of cracks or stress to the plastic in any way. I just stood on it a minute ago with the saw still on it and it didn't budge at all. I can now confidently upload this file without being worried that my design will fail. 

HOWEVER

YOU are still responsible for ensuring that this is installed securely and correctly. Use 3 screws per stud for the 2x10. Make sure they're tight and not stripped at all. MAKE SURE ITS IN THE FREAKING STUD. Level it, use high quality screws for both the 2x10 and the saw mounts. If this falls someone could get seriously injured. 

I trust my design and the strength of the materials. I also trust my craftsmanship, but don't try this if you are unsure about your skills. Or just send it lol idk could be cool. 

I made the mounts as wide as i could so it utilizes as much surface area on the handle rails as possible. Not sure if i could make it any stronger but i assure you its strong as hell.
