Coffee Grinder Jar Screw Top Lid

My coffee grinder came with 2 jars but only one screwtop lid.  If you have 2 blends on the go then you need to leave the grinder fixed to the top of one jar which is not ideal.   Fear not!  This is now resolved.   This is a replacement screwtop lid based on the design of the original one that came with the jar.   Chances are most of the cheap Chinese hand grinders use the same jar so if your jar had an outside diameter of about 70mm and a thread pitch of about 6mm then there is a good chance this will fit. 

 

I printed with a generic PETG profile with no support for the threads and it came out absolutely fine.   If you have access to TPU it's worth making a gasket for both the original and this additional top if you plan to keep the ground coffee in the jar for any period of time. 

 

I have also made a little adapter to convert the pentagonal shaft into an 11mm bolt head meaning you can connect up an electric screwdriver with an 11mm socket to the grinder and convert it to electric too.   Search my other models to find this one if you fancy it.
