Boost MeFeeling the spirit of jumbo lights? Learn a trick or two from the description? Throw me a boost, its free!

These are VERY easy to make, and are FAST to print. Similar decor is sold at Walmart for $30 per bulb. Yuck! This one comes in 3 flavors:

  • JUMBO (H2 Series Printers)
  • MEGA (P1 Series Printers)
  • I-THINK-I-CAN (A1 Mini)  [Incoming]

But wait, how did you do multi-color vase mode? That's not possible in Bambu Studio!

You are correct!  But… we can trick it. 🙊

------------------------------------------------------------------

INSTRUCTIONS:

STEP 1:  Open the profile. You'll note the pause sequence after about 80% of the threaded base is complete.

During the print job, once it pauses at this location, we're going to… snip the line. 😱

Pause happens about here.

Then yes, its true! You snip the line. (AMS not required, AMS is just the image used)

Once the line has been snipped, lift that spool completely out:

By by first color!

Then, hit resume:

Hit resume after snipping the line and removing the spool.

Now, it will print what is left in the tubes. Once it runs out, it will get mad at you for running out of filament:

That's ok. It's time to be sneaky and put in a new color.

Place your light bulb color into the slot where the thread color filament was, and hit resume:

Good luck! Attach pics to your comments and lets see your color patterns!

* Snow has not fallen where I live due to the moisture being a cheapskate; Gemini has shown us what it would look like with a nice snowy environment. The original lights are unchanged.

**EDIT: One last thing: The top doesn't seal on account of the bulb not coming to a complete point. My wife tells me this was an artistic choice (and definitely not a lack of foresight… hehe) Just keep that expectation in mind. It isn't noticeable as a decoration outside.
