Waterproof container, rubber band gasket 40x100mm

Watertight container with internal dimensions: 40 mm diameter, 100 mm height. Instead of problematic gaskets from TPU, it uses a simple rubber band to seal the container. (The rubber band is not provided here) I left the rubber band fitted container under water sideways for over 7 hours and the inside stayed dry. I recommend the rubber band approximately the same diameter as the thread (40mm), cause we do not want the rubber band to stretch too much (it is than getting thinner and does not seal as well as unstretched one). 

I designed this container mostly for my geocaching hobby and to make it simple to make and watertight was the goal. It can hold logbook, pencil, couple of xWG geocoins, and some SWAG… But It can be used for many other purposes… like firing from potato cannon as it is 50mm diameter and fits 2inch barrel…  I hope you enjoy it and have fun with it!
