3D Printed RPG – Replica Model Description

This project is a highly detailed RPG replica that I’ve been developing for quite some time. My goal was to make it look and feel as close to the real launcher as possible. Most measurements are nearly 1:1 with the original, and the overall weight is also very close to the real-steel version.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
!!! This is NOT a functional RPG !!! It is strictly a visual replica. A working version is still under development, but this process requires time and resources — thank you for your patience.

The core structure consists of two steel or PVC pipes with outer diameters of 48 mm (for the thinner section) and 60 mm (for the chamber section).

To attach the blast cone and sight rings, you will need M4x10 and M4x20 bolts and nuts, or alternatively, a strong adhesive will work as well.

For the grip assembly, keep in mind that plastic cannot support the replica’s weight. You’ll need to weld metal pieces at a 90-degree angle and slide the printed handles on top.

I used a 5 mm thick, 30 mm wide steel piece that matches the length of the handles.

Most parts were printed in PETG, but PLA and similar materials will also perform well. Infill percentage is not critical.
For the “wood” sections, I applied a cocoa-colored spray base coat followed by rosewood lacquer.

For the remaining parts, I used matte black spray paint and a matte clear coat for finishing.
A white paint marker can be used to highlight the lettering for a more authentic look.

IMPORTANT PRINTING RECOMMENDATION

Since the long components of the model are printed vertically, printers where the heated bed moves along the Y-axis (such as the A1) may experience vibrations and print instability during these tall prints.
For best results, it is strongly recommended to print the model on machines where the bed moves along the Z-axis, such as the Bambu P1, X1, or H2 series.

These printers provide much greater stability for tall prints and significantly improve overall print quality.
