Description

UPDATED 2026-03-25: Added Version 2, which includes “Anycubic” labels on the spool rings and features a slightly tighter fit compared to the original.

This is a spool adapter ring designed for Anycubic’s 1kg plastic filament spools for use with the Bambu Lab AMS (1). During testing, I noticed that Anycubic spools are not all identical: there are at least two slightly different variants, and this model file includes adapter rings for both versions.

 

One version of the spool has an outer diameter of approximately 195 mm, and its center hub is recessed relative to the rest of the spool. The other version has an outer diameter of approximately 196 mm, with the center hub flush with the surrounding spool surface. Separate adapter rings are provided for each spool type to ensure proper fit and reliable operation.

 

Please check the images carefully to identify which spool type you have and to select the correct adapter ring.

 

The adapter ensures a smooth fit inside AMS units and includes a practical built-in filament clip, making it easy to secure filament ends when the spool is not in use.

 

I printed this model in PETG for added strength and a small amount of flexibility, which helps with both fit and long-term durability. PLA may also work, but it has not been tested.

 

For best performance, install the ring with the filament clips positioned on the right side of the spool to avoid any potential interference inside the AMS. If you are using the AMS 2 Pro, use only the rings without filament clips.
