Description
This is a replica of a California license plate with a editable text field. Note: In order to use a font similar to what is used on real California license plates, install “License Plate Font” from https://www.fontspace.com/license-plate-font-f3359, and select it as the font when editing the text field.
To edit the letters, first make sure you have the “License Plate Font” installed from the link above. If you do not install this first, when you try to edit the letters, they will change to Arial and it will not look right.
Installing the font:
1. Download the font
2. Open the downloaded zip. You should see the LicensePlate-j9eO.ttf file
3. Double-click this file to install the font. Click the Install button when it appears.
Now you can edit the letters correctly. Open the model in Bambu Studio. Then follow these steps:
Change “Process” to Objects
Select “text_shape” in the object list
Double-click on the blue letters on the model. Single-click will not work, you must click twice. Notice that the font says “License Plate”. If it says “Arial” then you did not install the font properly.
Edit the “Input text” field that appears above the model. Here is an example.
Click the Text icon when finished. You are now ready to print!
