U-CRUSH Custom Rectangular Universal Skadis Holder

Here are all the IKEA Skadis holder I designed to save spaces on the board !

This is U-CRUSH, the Ultimate Customizable Rectangular Universal Skadis Holder !

I got tired of searching for an IKEA Skadis holder for each and every one of my tools, so I did what any reasonable person would do: I spent hours and hours creating U-CRUSH…

In retrospect, I think it would have been faster to just quickly model them one by one... but hey! Now it exists for everyone!

How to Customize

Almost every features of the holder is customizable but only 3 are mandatories:

Mandatory parameters:

• Main Dimensions
  • Inner Container Width: The internal width of the object (X dimension).
  • Inner Container Depth: The internal depth of the object (Y dimension).
  • Inner Corner Radius: Radius for rounded internal corners (0 = sharp corners).

Optional parameters

 keeping defaults is fine !

• Strength & Structure (optional)
  • Wall Thickness: Thickness of the walls (2.4mm is standard for strength).
  • Floor Thickness: Thickness of the solid bottom.
  • Tolerance: Extra clearance added to dimensions for a loose fit (standard is 0.5mm).
• Material Saving & Cutouts (optional)
  • Add Notch: adds a scoop/notch to the front wall for easier access to contents.
  • Hole Percent: Controls the bottom opening (0 = Solid Shelf, 1 = Open Loop/Holster).
  • Add Cutout: Removes unused plastic from the backplate between hooks to save filament
• Mounting Options (optional)
  • Third Hook: Adds a central stabilizing hook for containers wider than 80mm.
• Hexagon Settings (optional)
  • Add Hex Back: Toggles the hexagonal hole pattern on the back wall.
  • Hex Radius: Controls the size of the hexagonal cutout.
  • Hex Passthrough: Cuts the hexagon through both the front and back walls (only works if "Add Notch" is disabled).

Height is locked at 35mm which is the height of a Skadis hook.

Generated Files & Configuration Example

This is ultimately a model that is meant to be generated on a per-tool basis, and I encourage you to use it as such!

That being said, here are all the files for the holders you see in the photos. You can download these directly, or use the settings below as a "recipe" to learn how to tune the U-CRUSH generator for your own tools.
