With this fully custom coded generator you can make your very own Disney Font name plates, they resemble the plates found on Disney cruises but they look beautiful in any setting! The design can be fully customized easily by clicking the green “CUSTOMIZE” button on the listing, once the customizer loads you can freely change the word to generate your own custom name plate in whatever size you want!

Example Plates Created with the Generator

 

1. click on the green “CUSTOMIZE” button found in the model listing

2. Once you see the popup just click on the green “CUSTOMIZE” button again 

    

3.  From there you will be put into Bambus “Parametric Model Maker” and on the left you will see the following options:

    

   TEXT SETTINGS

   1. Text
      • The word or name you want the design to display.
   2. Text Anchor
      • Controls how the text is aligned on the plate.
        • Center = the center point of the word is aligned to x = 0
        • Left = The left side of the word is aligned to x = 0
        • Right = The right side of the word is aligned to x = 0 
   3. Text Width (mm)
      • Sets thewidth of the full word in millimeters
   4. Move Text X Axis (mm)
      • Shifts the text left or right.
        • Positive values move it right, negative values move it left.
   5. Move Text Y Axis (mm)
      • Shifts the text up or down.

        • Positive values move it up, negative values move it down.

           

   PLATE SETTINGS

   1. Plate Width (mm)
      • Sets the overall width of the plate in millimeters.
   2. Frame Thickness (mm)
      • Controls the thickness/height of the raised frame layer (yellow portion)
   3. Backing Thickness (mm)
      • Controls the thickness of the backing/base layer (blue portion)
   4. Backing Margin (mm)
      • Expands the backing plate relative to the frame, use if for example you want the backing plate to form a border around the yellow frame

  

Things To Keep In Mind

Arachne Wall Generator: If you want to make the plate small around 100mm or less make sure to change the wall generator in your slicer to Arachne, this will enable your 3d printer to print thinner walls, which will help in ensuring that all details are present even at a small scale.

 

Color Recommendations: I printed mine with a blue backing plate and yellow letters which I feel represents the Disney vibe really well however honestly any combination of colors looks good. feel free to experiment with different colors and find what you like best, I also really like the Red and White!

 

Default values: The Default settings are what I recommend for a standard size plate However feel free to play around with them if you want a different size or thickness, it's completely up to you!
