Updated Print Profile and respective mount model: Removed 1mm of height from the mount nub. After further testing with lots of shelves side by side on a few different skadis boards all mounted to varying degrees of sturdiness, it became clear it was difficult to place and remove in a few certain scenarios. Likely due to the PLA settling in. Should be much easier in all circumstances now and while it'll have less of a satisfying “thunk”, deck boxes will be easier to mount and dismount — because we all know that in the event of a fire, these are coming with you, as you're not stupid.

This SKÅDIS shelf is a purpose-designed wall mount created specifically for the Ultimate Lockble MTG Deck Box — not a generic pegboard tray, but a structural component that extends the design language, strength and intent of the box itself.

It uses the same architectural geometry and chamfer language as the deck box, so once mounted it looks like part of a complete modular system rather than an add-on accessory.

 

This is a permanent-grade shelf. It is designed to hold fully-loaded deck boxes long-term without creep, sag or fatigue.

What it does

• Securely mounts your Ultimate MTG Deck Box onto any IKEA SKÅDIS board
• Carries the full static weight of a fully loaded Commander deck indefinitely
• Uses a cylinder slot deck box interface for zero-wobble, zero-play deck box mounting
• Design-matched to your deck box so the system reads as a single modular unit
• Prints fast, clean and extremely strong
• Ensures the deck box can never unintentionally fall or slide off… ever.

Structural design notes

This shelf is not hollow-weak or shell-dependent.
Its internal geometry and wall strategy were designed to behave like a beam — distributing load through the full body rather than relying on infill. The shelf remains rigid even when loaded with:

• Fully sleeved Commander decks
• Dice, metal counters, tokens, and heavy accessories
• Long-term static wall storage
• There is no sag over time when printed to spec.

Assembly

Assembly is intentionally simple:

• Print the shelf
• Print the deck box mount
• Slot the mount directly into the hex interface
• Press-fit lock — no screws, no glue, no hardware

Print profile (important)

• Key setting:
  This model is designed around three wall loops — this is what gives the shelf its permanent-grade strength.
• Do not reduce wall count.
• Small (SNUG FIT) supports are required for the skadis board hooks.

Filament recommendations

Use a quality, consistent filament you trust:

• Bambu PLA
• eSun PLA+
• Any good PLA+ with strong layer bonding

PLA+ is ideal here — this is a rigidity-biased structural part, not a flexible one.

Why this exists

Most pegboard shelves are cosmetic trays or shelves which aren't great for storing other 3D printed items due to lack of friction.
This one is a structural mount — designed so your deck boxes can become a wall-mounted system rather than desk clutter.

It is intentionally overbuilt — so you never have to think about it again.
