Description
I decided that I needed to dedicate my build plates either to PLA or to PETG, in order to prevent residue from impeding bed adhesion. So I needed some labels or tags to make it easier to keep track of them. I found some labels that fit into the the Bambu-style holes at the front of some of my plates. But my BIQU Glacier plates didn't have those holes. I made these labels specifically for my BIQU Glacier plates.
The print profile includes one plate for PLA and one for PETG. Other than the label, these labels are the same.
The labels are designed so that one can be snapped into the build plate from the top, and another can be snapped into the build plate from the bottom, with the outer edges of the labels lining up. When installed this way, the top label and the bottom label fit nicely together, with the top nubs fitting into the bottom recesses, and vice versa.
When lined up this way, the top label would use the hex holes marked in yellow, and the bottom label would use the holes marked in red, so there is no wasted space.
The labels can be installed on either side of the build plate.
The intention was for the labels to snap together. But tolerances are important for snap-fit parts. If yours don't snap together securely, you can apply a bit of glue to the nubs and recesses.
Build plates can get hot, of course. So I printed mine with ASA. You can use whatever filament you want, at your own risk.
