Description

I really liked the bridge model from the author of the mentioned model from which this remix is created. I was not satisfied with several parameters of the model.

First, the model is enlarged, because I have a heavy and large Maine Coon cat. (5.5 kg) Then some parts were incorrectly oriented or designed by the author.

I really like that the individual parts of the bridge are in imitation of wood, but this is what forces the author to print them vertically, which causes the risk of breakage in the layer. I modified the parts so that they can be printed horizontally (one side does not have imitation wood) and the print is stronger and much faster.

The smooth side of the individual sections of the bridge is used as the upper part and serves to smoothly glue the carpet, felt.

The main holes are adapted to stretch a 5 mm climbing rope. The smaller holes can handle a 4 mm rope. You need to think that both types of rope are load-bearing, but the main 5 mm one carries more weight.

Unfortunately, based on the principle of how the side parts are designed, you will need a 15 cm screwdriver to reach the screws. I recommend a 5mm screw and a 6mm dowel (In the Czech Republic, concrete walls)

For assembly, I recommend redrawing the holes on paper, painting through the paper on the wall, mounting one part of the bridge to the wall, tensioning the entire bridge according to requirements and marking where you want to mount the next part. Draw the holes and drill. I recommend the bridge assembled on the ground so that you can put it on and test how it will turn out and look.

Please share photos of your print in the comments. I love seeing what my models look like.
