Parametric Round Furniture Riser/Lift or Rod Foot

Lift furniture with round feet, cap open tubes, or create stable foot for rod/dowel.

This is a  parametric OpenSCAD model designed to fit and extend any round object. Whether you need to raise a desk by a specific amount, create a foot for a wire shelving unit, create a foot to hold a rod vertical, you can generate the exact size you need. It features a tapered "flare" for stability and allows for "waffle" style stress-relief bottom pattern to prevent warping during printing and save material.

Parameters

• Rod / Leg Diameter: The actual diameter of the object you are inserting.
  • Measure your furniture leg and add 0.4mm - 0.6mm to this value for a comfortable fit.
• Socket Depth: How deep the leg goes into the foot (height of the walls around the foot/rod).
• Foot Base Height: How much height you want to add to the furniture (the solid plastic part under the leg).
• Base Flare: How much wider the bottom should be compared to the top. (Set to 0 for a straight cylinder).
• Stress Relief: Toggle the bottom grooves on or off.
