DeWalt Battery Charging Caddy / Portable Charging Station
This is a portable DeWalt battery charging station designed to keep everything in one place—batteries, charger, cord, and small accessories—without needing to remove the charger to use it.
The caddy holds:
- 4 DeWalt 20V / 18V / 60V Flexvolt batteries
- 1 standard DeWalt charger (mounted using standard pegs)
- 1 battery actively charging on the charger
- Central storage cavity for bits, small tools, and the power cord
All batteries can be charged in place, making this ideal for shop use, garages, job sites, or mobile setups.
Why This Exists
The inspiration came from my 73-year-old father, who wanted a simple, rugged charging caddy for Habitat for Humanity builds—something easy to carry, stable on a workbench, and impossible to misplace parts from.
After reviewing existing DeWalt battery holders (including this excellent starting point:

the goal was to combine storage + charging + portability into a single, durable unit.
Key Features
- Charge without removing the charger – the charger stays mounted in the caddy with clearance for larger batteries
- Balanced carry handle for easy transport
- Secure battery retention (no loose packs falling out)
- Central storage well for bits, screws, and cord management
- Compact footprint for crowded benches or job carts
Print Notes
- Material: Printed primarily in PETG-GF for durability and heat resistance
- PETG-GF is recommended due to the weight of batteries and frequent handling
- Standard PETG or ABS may work, but PETG-GF has proven to be plenty robust in testing
- Hardware shown uses simple PETG printed rod with threaded end caps
Use Cases
- Workshop battery organization
- Mobile jobsite charging
- Volunteer / build projects
- Garage or tool wall setups
- Camping
- Anyone tired of hunting for charged batteries
