Removable Gas Mask For Dummy 13 (PMK-4)

Oh, and it's REMOVABLE!  

Comes in single lens and double lens variants, as well as a half gas mask variant.

Half mask variant is compatible with most helmets, as long as the helmet doesn't cover the lower back of the head.

 

HISTORY

This gas mask is based off of the PMK-4, part of the PMK gas mask family, and is used by Russian Federation Law Enforcement Special Forces Units. Made by ARTI-Zavod in 2017, and was released as a part of the Russian Ratnik (Warrior) program with another variant, PMK-S. They are the most recent installation of the PMK family of gas masks. The only difference between the PMK-4 and the PMK-S is that PMK-4s' strap system is all rubber construction, and the PMK-S has elastic lower straps. The other difference is that the PMK-4 is slightly more lighter then the PMK-S due to its filters. 

 

PRINTING

I printed this a 0.16 layer height with tree supports at 50% speed on my A1 mini. Supports were easy to take off, but if its hard to remove, I recommend pouring warm water over supports to loosen them. If you're using the stl, orient the model on its right side with the filter pointing up.

I might make some different types of gas masks in the future, it all depends on how popular this one is. 

 

INSTALLATION

To prevent breaking the strap, first align the bottom half of the mask with the top half of the head, then slide it down. It should fit snugly. For the half gas mask, remove the head, and slide on the gas mask from the bottom, then put it back on.

 

Depending on the age and wear of your Dummy 13s head, the gas masks may be too loose, so just a heads up.

Remixed by creating a gas mask for dummy 13, using a modified dummy 13 head as a basis.

 

Boost MeThinking about a military helmet with a ballistic face mask, or maybe a 3.7 pak anti tank gun with shell ejection and everything, but first I gotta learn more complicated fusion 360 stuff cause tinkercad just isn't gonna cut it.
I'm also probably not gonna post as often, cause I want to do bigger and more complicated projects.
