Description

Replacement toe strap tongue for Rossignol Viper snowboard bindings — the ladder-style piece that the ratchet buckle clamps onto. Print one if yours has cracked, snapped, or gone missing.

About the design Modeled from scratch in Fusion 360 to match the original part. The STEP file is included if you'd like to remix it, adjust the fit for a different binding model, or tweak the tooth spacing.

Recommended print settings

  • Material: TPU — the stiffer the better (95A+ shore hardness gave the best results in my tests; softer TPU flexed too much under buckle tension)
  • Layer height: thick layers (0.28–0.32 mm) for maximum interlayer strength
  • Line width: wide (0.6 mm or more)
  • Infill / pattern: 100% concentric — this aligns the extrusion lines with the load direction and dramatically improves tensile strength
  • Walls: as many as your slicer will allow given the part thickness
  • No supports needed

Real-world testing & honest disclaimer I rode these personally on red runs in the Alps. They held up well for two days of normal riding before failing during a hard crash — the impact force snapped the strap. Treat this as a field-repair / backup part or for casual riding only. I would not trust a printed strap for park, freeride, or anything high-speed where a binding failure could cause injury. If you're far from a shop and need to finish your trip, this will likely get you down the mountain. For long-term use, replace with an OEM part.

Files included

  • STL — ready to print
  • STEP — for editing in Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Onshape, etc.

If you print it, I'd love to see a Make and hear how the different TPU shores worked for you.
