Description
The toy version is now available and can be found here https://makerworld.com/en/models/2467785-toy-combine-harvester#profileId-2709141
I made this to be a decoration for my sons birthday party, since everything is glued together it isn't strong enough to be played with very rough (all of the combines I made were broken by the end of the party). However, I am currently working on a model that is much stronger and will include a moving header and auger.
The orientation found in the print profile was the best I could find to reduce support material. You may notice that there is supports inside the black colored main body, I was able to remove some of this however it was not a big deal to me since it is not visible from most angles. Additionally I had printed several of these at 50% scale with great results, the only downside was difficulty finding bolts to use as axles.
Like stated above, all of the parts are glued together and the wheels are held on by inserting some 1/4x20 bolts. you may have to break the supports out of the “axle tubes” and then thread the bolts in and back out, after this I was able to push the bolts in with the wheels on and the friction was enough to keep them in place.
