Root Trainers - No support - Print-in-place

Root Trainers

On request from my wife I made these root trainers for her plants.
The model is printed without supports*, have print in place hinges and a snap-lock system holding each compartment securely closed.

I've added 5 different sizes of the model all the way from 1set (two compartments) to 5set (ten compartments).

 

* The model seen in the pictures has a handle on top of the hinged part. This design did not work as intended and has been removed. The model can therefore now be printed completely without supports

Customization

For the dual color one like the model-images I've followed these steps:

1. Set model color to the one you want on the face of the root trainer
2. Slice the model
3. Scroll down to layer 2-5 (depending on how transparent your filament is and how bright color you want the face to be
4. Right click on the “+” in the layer selector and select your desired filament color under “Change filament” 
5. Slice once again
6. Print
