Ad5x auto- retracting spool adapter

This model is a spool adapter for the AD5X that retains the factory self-retracting spool function while allowing the use of larger or alternative spools. The design intentionally leverages an existing, proven rotary spool holder system rather than reinventing the mechanism.

My model acts as the interface that allows those parts to function correctly on the AD5X while preserving the automatic retraction behavior.

Required Parts (Must Be Printed Separately)

To function correctly, you must download and print parts from the linked model above.

You will need:

• Orange parts: 2 sets
• Green parts: 2 sets
• Threaded bushings: 4 total

This quantity allows you to convert all spool positions on the AD5X.
