A fully parametric, customizable rack mount system designed to house up to four devices in a single rack unit. Whether you are building a 10-inch mini lab or a 6-inch desktop rack, this generator allows you to create the perfect faceplate and chassis for your gear.

This model is perfect for mounting non-rackable hardware like Raspberry Pis, mini-switches, routers, etc

Key Features

Adjustable Rack Standards: Supports both 10-inch and 6-inch rack widths.

Variable Height: Set your height from 0.5U up to 5U.

Multi-Device Support: Mount up to 4 different devices side-by-side. Each device can have its own custom width, height, and depth.

Top Cover Toggle: Choose between a fully enclosed "sleeve" for the device or an open-top "cradle" design.

Thermal Management: Integrated hexagonal air holes can be toggled on for side and bottom ventilation.

Cable Management: Built-in zip-tie slots at the rear of each device.

How to Use

Select Rack Size: Choose between a 10" or 6" rack.

Enable Devices: Turn on d1_enable through d4_enable for the number of items you want to mount.

Measure Your Gear: Input the Width, Height, and Depth of your devices.

The script adds a customizable tolerance to ensure a perfect fit (I suggest using ~0.5)

Customize Features: Toggle air holes, zip-tie points, or front wire passthroughs based on your needs.

Technical Parameters for Customization

Rack Height: Defined in Rack Units (U). 1.0 = 44.45mm.

Device Spacing: The gap between multiple devices.

Hole Wall Thickness: Controls the structural integrity of the ventilation mesh.

 

Zip-tie locking method Inspired by Spuder.
