3DSets Lockable differential for Model 7,8,11

For assembly you will need 3x M2 8mm screws and 6x M2 4mm inserts. The inserts need to be embed into the holes in the cage and in the gears. When assembling, I recommend screwing all 3 gears to the cage, you will be sure that all the holes will fit together.

 

The differential is in the open state when the M2 screws are not screwed in. To close the differential, it is necessary to align the gear insert with the cage insert and screw with M2 srews. It is necessary that the inserts are really at the same time, otherwise there is a risk of the cage insert being pushed out!! Use a flashlight to see inside better.

 

I recommend printing the gears from PC Blend, PETG or PLA should be enough for the cage, but due to the greater load in the closed state, I also recommend PC Blend.
