Description
This is a custom drawer insert set designed specifically for the Kobalt Mini Tool Box. The goal was to maximize usable space while keeping small tools, bits, and hardware neatly organized and easy to access.
This is my first fully original CAD design, created from the ground up and tested for real world use in the Kobalt Mini Tool Box. It may work for other similar toolboxes, however it has been verified that this design does NOT work with Harbor Freight mini toolboxes due to a rivet located at the back of each drawer.
Top Tray Organizer (2 Piece Design)
The top tray insert is split into two parts to allow easier printing and installation while still fitting together cleanly once installed.
Center Drawer Organizer – 2 Versions
Designed as a single piece insert.
Note: The center drawer must be removed from the toolbox to install this insert.
v1 orientation note: Orient the thin, long cavity toward the back of the drawer, as this area is otherwise unreachable dead space.
Bottom Drawer Organizer
A deeper insert optimized for larger tools or bulk storage.
Note: The bottom drawer must also be removed from the toolbox for installation.

This project was a learning experience and a functional upgrade I wanted to add to my own toolbox. Feedback is welcome, and future revisions or alternate layouts may be added over time.
