I was looking for the cheapest and most available cereal containers to build filament storage. In my area, the cheapest one was this one that is often white labelled as Kichly, Utopia, Amazon 4L. I was hoping to find a nice design on maker world however all the designs I found required the spool to simply rub against the bottom or a flat plastic surface. I wanted a low-friction roller system, but I quickly realized why few existed: these containers are incredibly narrow at the bottom.
Instead of giving up on my six containers, I looked at the geometry more closely. I realized that by utilizing the natural outward taper of the container as it rises, I could gain the clearance I needed. As a result I was able to accommodate a 68mm wide spool. The 68mm standard is used by the Bambu AMS 2 Pro and covers all the popular 1kg spools on the market so I figured it is good enough for me.

Features
Taper-Optimized 68mm Capacity: Specifically engineered to use the container's outward taper, allowing for a 68mm roller width.
Active Roller System: Replaces the standard "friction" designs with a low-resistance 608ZZ bearing design, reducing stress on your extruder.
Self-Centering Stability: The narrow base geometry acts as a natural guide. The spool is physically unable to jump off the rollers. When spun, it automatically centers itself.
Minimalist "Skeleton" Frame: A high-strength, low-filament design. Material is only placed where structural integrity is required, saving you print time and filament while maintaining a sleek, modern look.
Precision Tapered Arms: Designed for a perfect friction fit against the container walls, providing maximum rigidity and a "pro" aesthetic.
Integrated Hygrometer Mount: Features a dedicated housing for the standard round (41mm) digital hygrometer, allowing you to monitor internal humidity at a glance.
Rechargeable Desiccant Cartridge: A swappable, spill-proof pod for your silica gel. Easily refresh your desiccant without dealing with loose beads at the bottom of the box.
Easy Assembly: Uses standard hardware (608ZZ bearings) and requires no screws or glue—everything is designed for a precise press-fit.
