Description

Looking to reclaim your desk space? I designed this XL Wall-Mounted Spool Holder to move your filament storage and feeding system directly to the wall. It’s a heavy-duty, clean solution designed specifically for long-term reliability and flexibility.

Design Features

  • Large Format Engineering: This model was specifically designed to utilize the H-series (300x300mm+) build plates, allowing for a single-piece, high-strength bracket.
    • Note: If you are using a smaller printer, the files can be scaled down in your slicer to suit your specific needs.
  • Heavy-Duty Build: Printed in PETG for superior creep resistance. The reinforced wall brackets ensure that even with multiple full spools, the mount remains rigid and secure.
  • Hardware Integration: Built to accommodate a standard 25mm wooden dowel. Using a wood core provides incredible structural strength that won't sag over time.
  • Modular Spacing: * Features a custom-designed center spacer to perfectly fit 2 large spools.
    • Expandable: Easily fits a 3rd spool by swapping the large spacer for two smaller ones.
  • Direct-Feed Ready: Perfect for top-loading setups like the Bambu Lab A1, allowing for a clean, vertical filament path.

Print Settings Recommendations

  • Material: PETG (Recommended for structural parts).
  • Infill: 25–40% (Gyroid recommended).
  • Walls: 4+ perimeters to ensure the dowel socket and mounting points are rock solid.

Pro Tip: For those using cardboard spools (like Overture), the smooth surface of the wooden dowel provides the perfect amount of natural friction to prevent over-spinning and tangling.
