Description
If you want to reposition the filament feeder from your Snapmaker U1 then these towers are for you, especially if you are using the Creality SpacePi X4 filament dryer or similar.
These towers will hold both your left and right filament feeder in positon. They have the required dimensions to position the filament feeder behind the SpacePi X4 dryer at the exact height (18 cm + the filament feeder on top) of the rear PTFE outlets.
If you want to move the filament feeder further away like me you will need a extension cable for both filament feeders. The extension cables are available on aliexpress. You need the 15p. Each pcs is 20cm long:
The 3mf for Snapmaker Orca or Orca Slicer is in the STL/CAD download section, named “SpacePi X4 Auto Feeder Tower U1”.
If you relocate the filament feeders, you have to increase or decrease the filament feeding distance in the printer.cfg. Measure it roughly and then increase the distance step by step. You need to change under filament_feed left and filament_feed right the value "preload_length". Standard value is 950 (mm).
To ensure the best possible routing of the PTFE tubing, I recommend these additional models from other designers:

→ this holds the PTFE tube in position so the tube will not be pulled into the dryer if you unload the filament. Four PC4-M10 pneumatic ptfe fittings are needed.
