Among mountains wrapped in silence and a motionless lake, red flowers bloom like a whisper of light in the stillness.
This HueForge-style bas-relief was created using only 3 colors.
🔹 Colors
Red and Black: No special requirements.
White: 💡 The result shown in the photos was achieved using Sunlu PLA White (standard PLA). Highly opaque or matte white PLAs may produce a bas-relief with too much white and less defined shading. For best results, use a white PLA with slight translucency.
🔹 Model Dimensions
Standard: 180 × 130 mm – approx. 30 g
XL: 220 × 160 mm – approx. 45 g
🔹 Print Profiles (3MF)
(AMS): Automatically handles all color changes. You only need to load the AMS with the 3 filaments (black, white and red).
(NO AMS): pauses are already included for each required color change - It starts with Black - Layer 8 (0.76 mm) - White - Layer 22 (1.90 mm) - Red - Layer 25 (2.14 mm) - White
🔹 Want to use the STL file?
Set:
Layer height = 0.08mm
First layer height = 0.20mm
Infill = 100%
In the slicer, select the model, then right-click → Height Range Modifier to set:
1.80 – 1.90 mm → Layer height 0.10 mm
Add the Color changes or Pauses in the slicer preview:
It starts with Black
Layer 8 (0.76 mm) - White
Layer 22 (1.90 mm) - Red
Layer 25 (2.14 mm) - White
🔹 Printing Notes
Printability: the model can be easily printed on any 3D printer with a 0.4 mm nozzle, without supports and without special precautions.
Do not simplify the model: reducing the level of detail may lead to unpredictable results.
Slicer processing time: a few minutes, due to the high level of detail.
The “floating regions” warning can be ignored.
The model can be scaled in X and Y, but not in Z. It can also be split into multiple parts to create a bas-relief larger than the print bed.
