Description

This rocket uses a E12-6 Estes motor. It is made for a ¼ in launch rod.

Can be printed in pla, abs, and petg.

I used abs for the rocket and pla for the camera mount, but petg would be the best for the rocket.

Printed with supports.

Assembly can be found in the documentation.

All the materials listed here were used by me when i launched the rocket.

Materials you need:

Estes E12-6 Engine/Motor (Cheapest at hobby lobby)

Kevlar cord (550 lbs, length does not matter)

Parachute (any 18 in or bigger parachute will work)

eye hooks (any 2.5in eye hooks with a 4.2mm wire diameter)

Launch Rod (any ¼ in rod, you can also buy the Porta-Pad E which includes the rod)

Recovery wadding (You can also try using the regular wadding or a parachute protector)

For Launching:

Launch controller (or any other launch controllers, even homemade ones will work too)

Igniters (Should come with motor but you can buy more or make your own)

Launch Pad options below

Optional:

Fishing Swivels (not required but it helps keep the parachute untangled)

Estes astrocam (also not required but you can get decent footage with it) Video Now uploaded!

Launch Rod (only buy if you are doing option #1 or #2)

Launch Pad Options (i did #2):

  1. Stick the launch rod in the ground (make sure the area around it is not dry or flamable)
  2. build your own using pvc pipes and a 3 way coupler (you can 3d print the coupler; model)
  3. Buy the estes porta pad E or Pro series ll (launch rod comes with them)
