Seed Storage Tube with Packet Label (Parametric)

Parametric update!

I have rebuilt the model from scratch (identical) in Fusion 360 and have uploaded the 3DF file so you can edit the dimensions of the tube in MakerWorld! If you would still prefer to edit using OnShape, an easy to edit parametric model on OnShape is available. Just edit the “#SeedPacketWidth” and “#SeedPacketHeight” variables, and export the two parts.

I really like the hand drawn artwork on the Botanical Interests'/Epic Gardening's seed packets. But I do not like storing my seeds loose in the seed packets after opening them. So I designed a seed storage tube that utilizes the empty seed packet as the label for the tube.

These are design specifically around Botanical Interest/Epic Gardening seed packets, but others may fit. If your own seed packets do not fit, I have uploaded a parametric model here to Maker World. Just use the “Customize” button next to the download button and then enter the dimensions of your seed packet.

Print settings

• 3 Wall so the tube walls are printed solid. Helps with threads.
• Arachne wall generator. If you don't do this, the threads will not print well.
• 0.2mm layer height is fine.
• Variable layer height. Recommended on the threads, but not mandatory.
