Sliding Status Sign – ANY TEXT (In/Out, Free/Busy)

This Customizable Sliding Sign is a smooth‑gliding, easy‑to‑print indicator that can display any two words you want. Whether you need CLEAN / DIRTY, OPEN / CLOSED, IN / OUT, BUSY / FREE, or something completely unique, this model adapts instantly through simple text fields in the OpenSCAD customizer.

The design uses a precision dovetail track with tuned tolerances for a smooth, satisfying slide. The text is engraved into the base and then filled with a contrasting color for crisp readability. The slider includes grip ridges and built‑in stops so it does not fall out.

Everything is fully parametric, making it perfect for personalization, and multi‑purpose use around the home, office, workshop, or classroom.

Assembly: Insert the slider into the open end and push it over the stop bump. It should slide in easily. Once in place, the stop bump is tall enough to keep it from sliding out.
