GearVR Lens Adapter for Vive Cosmos (Elite)

Based on the GearVR v3.3 adapter, it allows you to use your prescription lens inserts purchased from VR Wave (vr-wave.store) with the GearVR lenses without modifying the inserts.

The original adapter sticks out enough that it prevents the insert from attaching to the sides of the socket. This modified adapter adds an enlarged ring that's big enough for the inserts to be seated on. The distance of the lens to the screen has not changed but with the adapter, the inserts will be closer to your eyes.

Prescription inserts purchased from widmovr and vroptician may be compatible as they install the same way as the VR Wave inserts but since I only have VR Wave inserts I cannot be certain if other manufacturers will be compatible. If you have inserts from other manufacturers feel free to test and leave a comment if it works for you.

V1 and V2: 

The lens of the prescription insert is still too close to the gearVR lens as I didn't expect it to bulge a bit on the flat side.

V3: 

This lifts the ring a bit more in order to give clearance between the GearVR lens and the prescription insert lens. I have this version installed into my Cosmos Elite headset.

Notes:

Due to how much the lense sticks out from the original socket, you might be able to see the inner edges of the screen, but since they exist within the binocular overlap that might not be a big problem for some.
