Customizable Fire Extinguisher Service Ring (Verification of Service)
This is a fully parametric Verification of Service ring designed for fire safety professionals, facility managers, and service technicians. Instead of relying on generic tags, you can now 3D print professional, durable, and color-coded rings tailored specifically to your organization. (Please ensure this ring meets code for extinguishers in your area eg. NFPA 10)
Key Features:
- Fully Parametric: Use the MakerWorld Customizer to change the Business Name, Year, and Dimensions in seconds.
- Outward-Facing Text: Engineered specifically for extinguisher cylinders. The text is oriented to be read from the outside of the ring, ensuring the valve and neck don't obstruct the information.
- Optimized for AMS: Designed for face-down printing. The text is slightly recessed (0.24mm) to allow for a perfect, flush multi-color finish on your textured or smooth build plate.
- Pro-Level Typography: Includes individual controls for Character Width (Horizontal Compression) and Text Size, allowing you to fit long business names perfectly without overlapping.
How to Customize:
- General Dimensions: Adjust the OD (Outside Diameter) and ID (Inside Diameter) to fit your specific extinguisher neck size.
- Text Content: Enter your Business Name, Subheading (e.g., "Annual Inspection"), and the Years required.
- Refine the Fit: If your business name is long, simply lower the Main Title Width (e.g., to 0.8) to "squish" the text horizontally until it fits the arc perfectly.
- Orientation: Keep "Text Faces Outward" checked for standard extinguisher mounting.
Print Settings:
- Orientation: Print Face Down (the script automatically mirrors the model for you).
- Material: ASA is recommended for long-term durability in all conditions, though PETG works great for indoor environments.
- Colors: In Bambu Studio, use the Paint Bucket or the Objects Tab to set the text to a high-contrast color (e.g., Black text on a White ring).
Layer Height: 0.24mm works perfectly. (AMS will only be used on first layer)
Note: This model was designed to meet the standard visual requirements for "Verification of Service" collars while providing the flexibility that off-the-shelf rings lack.
