BMW R1200GS/GSA Battery Cover

These are 3D scans of the OEM battery cover for the BMW R1200GS/GSA. In the photos, i have the 3d printed battery cover installed on my bike. the 3d scans were dimensionally accurate. I have made minor tweaks to the overall design but tried to keep it as close to OEM as possible. 

 

If you do print these out and decide to use them, they will need some post processing to achieve an OEM kind of finish. The fit is spot on but the finish is where these will really shine. I have the right side battery cover semi finished (sanded and sprayed with a UV resistant clear coating only.)

 

You could easily print these out, and paint them to your desired color. Not to mention, save a ton of money as these retail for $100 a pair from the manufacturer.

 

I printed these prototypes (the ones in the photos) from ABS to check fitment so the print profile attached to this is in ABS.
