I designed this 90 mm, 9 g WTD (walk the dog) lure for topwater spinning fishing, ideal for targeting medium-sized predators such as sea bass, black bass, and chub. The action is designed to produce a smooth and natural side-to-side movement, easy to control with both slow retrieves and light jerks, allowing excellent lure handling.

• Lead weights for internal ballast
• PETG filament

Recommended lead weighting

 

WTD 65 mm:

• 1 × 1 g lead balls

 

WTD 90 mm:

• 2 × 1 g lead balls

WTD 130 mm:

• 2 × 2 g lead balls

After inserting the lead and split rings inside and gluing the two halves of the lure, it is recommended to coat it with epoxy resin to ensure waterproofing and improved durability against impacts.
