Snap-Together USA Map Puzzle: 01 - California (CA)

Welcome to the beginning of a very long, 3D-printed road trip! 🚗

This is Piece #1 of my quest to design the entire United States as a giant, interlocking map. I’m kicking things off on the West Coast with the Golden State itself: California.

What can you do with it? That is entirely up to you! Because these are flat-backed puzzle pieces, the project possibilities are endless:

• Magnets: Glue a small neodymium magnet to the back and take over your fridge.
• Wall Art: Print them all out and mount them in a large shadowbox or frame.
• Educational Tool: Leave them loose as a fun, tactile geography puzzle for kids.
• Corkboard Pins: Glue a thumbtack to the back for a custom map board.

I’ll be slowly releasing the rest of the states piece-by-piece over the coming weeks (or maybe months—we have 49 more to go, folks!). Follow along, print them as they drop, and eventually, you'll have a complete, colorful map of the USA!

I’m also choosing base colors that feel fitting for the local terrain—for California, I went with a vibrant blue to capture those iconic coastal ocean and beach vibes! 🌊🌴
