Overview

Bring classic Alpine history to your wooden railway with this historical Gotthard Railway Tunnel, inspired by the original 1882 design! This multi-part set is fully compatible with standard Brio tracks and is cleverly split into four parts to fit perfectly on the Bambu Lab A1 Mini build plate (180x180mm). The mountain features snow-capped peaks designed for a 4-color AMS print. All edges are rounded and completely kid-friendly for safe play.

Key Features

  • AMS Ready: Pre-painted files included for multi-color printing (rock, snow, grass, and portals).
  • A1 Mini Compatible: Fits on all Bambu printers (cleverly split into manageable parts).
  • Kid-Friendly: Completely rounded, safe edges with no sharp corners.
  • Modular: The 80mm opening allows the mountain to be used separately for toy cars or other model railways.
  • Strong: Designed with durable tolerances for the track connectors to withstand playtime.

Printing Instructions

  • Nozzle: 0.4mm Standard.
  • Infill: 15% Gyroid (for strength without vibration).
  • Walls: 3 Walls recommended (crucial for the durability of the track connections).
  • Material: PLA Basic or Matte.
  • Supports: Tree supports are required for the overhangs on the mountain model.

Assembly Guide

  1. Print the four individual parts (1x Mountain, 2x Portals, 1x Connector).
  2. Connect the entrance with the connector.
  3. Place the mountain cover over the assembled portal.
  4. Connect the exit portal with the entrance portal.
  5. Connect your existing Brio wooden tracks to the ends. (See the GIF/Pictures above for a visual guide!)

Support My Work

If you and your kids enjoy this model, I would greatly appreciate a Boost and a photo of your printed tunnel in the comments! This support helps me design more historical additions for your railway sets.
