Twist Lock Container - Customizable size +/– knurl

A clean, versatile cylindrical container with a twist cap/lid that locks into place with a satisfying snap. The model is parametric, allowing you to easily customize dimensions to suit your specific needs - whether you want a compact storage solution or a large-capacity container. 
⚠️ If using the customization option, make sure to separate/split the model into two individual parts in your slicer before printing. The lid and body are exported together and will otherwise print as a sealed object.

 

You can choose between a smooth exterior or an optional knurled surface for improved grip and a more tactile finish.

The interior is designed with smooth transitions, making it easy to pour out its contents without material getting stuck in corners. (Not recommended for liquids)

Unlike many similar designs, the lid makes full contact with the container rim, minimizing gaps where debris collect and fall out when opening.

Notes on parametric performance:
Due to the complexity of the knurling feature, the parametric model may occasionally time out when generating larger sizes. It has been successfully tested up to 200 mm in diameter, though failures can still occur unpredictably at smaller sizes. The non-knurled version is much more reliable and generates without issues.
