Sight riser 2.0

 

This model features a refined version of my custom made picatinny sight riser.   I opened up the middle of the riser so you are able to look through the center in between your pic rail and your elevated scope. This allows for the use of backup iron sights that you may have mounted to your rifle.  This makes the design more functional as you can use your iron sights or your scope depending on the situation.  I also broke the design into two pieces to allow for easier mounting onto the pic rail.  This allows for a more firm clamp onto the rail and the ability to take it on and off without sliding it the whole length of your rail.  Besides that, I added some smoother fillets and just improved the overall shape/contour of the sight riser along with making the posts slightly thicker. These were much needed improvements and I think this version is a much more refined model.

 

I decided to also add a few more options for the amount of elevation you get on your scope.  Choose from 3 different heights to find the perfect amount of elevation for your build.  The shortest option is +20mm, the medium is +34mm, and the tallest is +40mm. The length is the same for all of these (~65mm long) except for the “mini” version I made as an experiment.  Please comment feedback on sizes and heights, it is good to know what people want and need for this application.
