This educational 3D printable model represents the major tectonic plates and continents as a hands-on puzzle, making it easier to explore how our planet is divided and how those pieces fit together.
Great for classrooms, home-schooling, science projects, or anyone interested in geology and geography, this model helps visualize plate boundaries, continents and the structure of Earth’s surface in a simple and engaging way.
(The image of the printed model was the prototype that didn't contain Antarctica yet. That has been fixed in the new version.)
The model consists of three main parts:
In the file, the plates are separated into two groups: continental and oceanic plates. These can be printed separately and in different colours for better visualization. Same goes for the continents. So, if you print this model, consider using different colours for each plate or continent to make the parts easier to identify and more visually engaging.
