National Park Service (NPS) Lightbox Sign
Bring the great outdoors inside with this classic National Park Service Lightbox. Designed to capture the iconic rustic aesthetic of the NPS logo, this piece features a textured, multi-layered look that looks just as good on a shelf during the day as it does glowing on a wall at night.
Using Wood PLA for the frame and background gives the piece a natural, "carved" feel that perfectly complements the National Park theme.

- Frame/Brown: Bambu Black Walnut Wood PLA
- Background/Tan: Bambu White Oak Wood PLA
- Snow/Bison/Text: eSun Cold White PLA
- Trees/Foreground: eSun Pine Green PLA
Assembly Instructions
- Electronics: Designed to fit 2 rows of standard 5V LED strips around the inside edges
- Cord Exit: There is a dedicated cutout at the bottom for easy cable management.
- Diffuser: For a softer glow, you can add a thin layer of white parchment paper or a 3D-printed 0.4mm white diffuser sheet behind the faceplate.
"Natural Glow" Pro-Tip
If you are using Bambu White Oak Wood PLA, you’ll notice that white LEDs can cause the material to glow with a heavy orange tint.
To achieve a more natural, neutral white look on the faceplate:
- Use an RGB LED strip.
- Set the color to a light blue.
- The blue light counteracts the natural orange/yellow hues of the wood filament, resulting in a much cleaner, daylight-white appearance for the mountains and text!
