Description

I had a request for me to upload a model of Mavericks drop, so here it is!

Quick Notes

Overall, this is a pretty hefty print, and will take a lot of time. I would only recommend making this if you have a large dedicated space for it, as it stands a whole 43" tall. The model is compatible with the Maverick trains posted earlier. I'm sorry to say this, but it is not a scale model of Mavericks drop, in fact, I don't think it's exactly 95 degrees either (I think I made it 100 to ennunciate the beyond vertical-ness). There are details left out of this that are on the real ride, like the track style and flanges on supports. I would appreciate it if I didn't get any comments or reviews that are mad about that.

Resources required:

  • Superglue
  • M3 screws and nuts (only for parts of the support structure, and you could choose to glue all of them instead)
  • M4 screws (length greater than 20mm, these connect the track to the supports)
  • Red and beige filament ( I have linked Bambu filament below, but you COULD use any PLA or PETG)

Assembly Order

Track going from top of lift down:

  • P13
  • P14
  • P10
  • P9
  • P8
  • P7
  • P6

Support Arch goes in the way labelled on the plates in the 3mf. The square connecting blocks are fitted to the piece they go with, so if the edges look funky or there is wiggle room when one is inserted into another, it may be the wrong piece and try a different one. Use the model photos to guide you on the final shape.

Have fun building this, if you do upload a comment with a picture!
