Description
KANAGAWA is an organizer that combines functionality with decorative form, designed to become part of your home gallery. The project was created to serve both as a functional organizer and as an aesthetic wall piece.
The organizer can be used as:
The model features:
The larger pocket can be used to store a wallet or glasses, while the smaller pocket was designed for earbuds or small everyday items.
The main inspiration behind this project was “The Great Wave off Kanagawa” by Katsushika Hokusai — one of the most recognizable Japanese woodblock prints. The goal of the project was to transform a famous artwork into a functional everyday object while preserving the character of Japanese aesthetics, layering, and composition. I wanted the form of the organizer itself to create the functionality, rather than simply acting as decoration with added utility elements. The layered construction creates storage space while still maintaining the appearance of a decorative wall piece.
The organizer can be mounted on the wall:
The total weight of the model is approximately 440 g, excluding stored items.
A complete documentation package is included, containing the filament color list, model dimensions, parts list, and assembly instructions.
I hope this organizer brings both functionality and a touch of art into your space.
