Description
GLEAM is a modern pendant lamp shade with a sculptural, geometric design that transforms a simple light socket into an elegant statement piece. Its flowing slats create a striking silhouette while allowing the warm glow of the bulb to shine through beautifully.
GLEAM combines aesthetics and functionality. Whether printed in bold colors or subtle neutral tones, it adds a contemporary touch to kitchens, dining rooms, living spaces, bedrooms, and offices.
GLEAM is designed to fit standard E27 lamp sockets and is fully compatible with popular IKEA cord sets such as SUNNEBY and HEMMA, as well as most other E27 pendant socket systems.
The wall thickness of each slat has been increased, which also slightly increases the overall weight of the shade. This modification was intentionally made to improve rigidity and minimize movement during printing.
Printing at slower speeds significantly improves surface quality and reduces vibrations, particularly at the tips of the slats where movement can affect print accuracy.
The included print profile is configured with 4 walls, which was chosen to maximize rigidity and ensure stable, reliable printing of the long slats.
If you would like to reduce the overall weight and filament usage, the model can also be printed with 3 walls. This may still produce good results, but rigidity will be reduced, and print stability cannot be guaranteed to the same extent.
During testing, 2 walls proved insufficient, causing the slats to flex and vibrate noticeably, which led to poor print quality and unstable results.
For the best surface finish and the most dependable printing experience, 4 walls are strongly recommended.
