Description

With Ruby Rumble, Makim wanted to create a fast game that combined dexterity, chain reactions and a balance between defense and offense.

Meet the Designer

How To Play

Players represent rival factions using robotic mine cards to collect valuable rubies before they are swallowed by lava. Each turn, players can take three actions such as moving, sealing up lava and firing boulders at their opponents. The first to collect 5 rubies is the winner so keep an eye out for any players that are too far ahead - they may become a target!

Check out the attached PDF for a full set of rules.

Printing & Assembly

Please check the attached PDF for assembly instructions. The board parts print in single pieces so the main assembly is the corner catapults which fire using magnets.

  • The corner pieces are configured as a primarily 2 color print - shifting from gray and green to brown and black.
    • If you’d rather print this as a single color, I would recommend using gray and then painting the vines and catapults separately.
    • Very little black is used - although the file includes this element, it’s very easy to paint these parts after printing - even using a permanent marker can work!
  • Small flowers are included that can be printed and glued to the corners to indicate the Home Base for each player. These are entirely optional - you may choose to skip them to save printing or assembly time.
  • The tiles are multi-color shifting from a few layers of orange/red to black/gray. If using a single nozzle printer, I would recommend replacing the black with gray.
