Description

This compact Blade Fuse Holder Box is designed for clean and durable inline electrical installations using standard automotive blade fuses.

The project includes multiple versions:

  • 1 pole version
  • 2 pole version
  • M3 screw + nut closure (L max 14mm)
  • Self tapping screw (3mm) closure (L max 13mm)
  • Glue assembly version

The fuse used is the standard automotive blade fuse size.

Designed for 6.3mm female Faston terminals with insulation, compatible with:

  • 1.5–2.5 mm² wire
  • 16–14 AWG wire
  • 👉 Link to the Faston terminals I used

For smaller wire diameters, use the red Faston connectors.

The complete set of variants is included on the same print plate for easy printing and organization.

Recommended material: PETG.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Carefully remove the internal metal terminal from the insulated Faston sleeve.

  2. Insert the tinned wire into the metal terminal.
  3. Solder the wire properly to the terminal.

  4. Slightly crimp the terminal with pliers if necessary.
  5. Reinsert the metal terminal carefully back into the insulated sleeve until fully seated.

  6. Apply heat using a hot air gun or lighter until the insulation shrinks tightly around the terminal.

  7. Carefully trim the front section with a cutter so the metal connector remains exposed.

  8. Prepare two terminals using the same process.

  9. Insert the standard automotive blade fuse into both terminals.

  10. Place the complete assembly inside the fuse holder body.

  11. Close the enclosure using:
  • M3 screw + nut (L 14mm)
  • Self tapping screw (3mm L 13mm)
  • Glue version
