Articulated Northern Pike (Esox lucius)

The Northern Pike (Esox lucius) is a gamefish native to North America, Europe, and Asia. This cold-water species is an ambush predator, it's shading helps it blend into aquatic vegetation before making bursts of extreme speed to catch prey. They are also cannibalistic so vegetation is also crucial for the juveniles to hide from adults. The North American specimens typically max out at ~30 inches and weigh 20 lbs and are smaller than their European cousins that commonly reach 40 inches and 30 lbs. They are aggressive and territorial fish with extremely sharp pointed teeth, making them both fun and hazardous to fish for, and one of my favorites to catch. I bet none of you came to MakerWorld for fishing secrets, but in the waters surrounding Wolfe Island in the St. Lawrence Seaway between the United States and Canada, I've caught a ton of pike on red and yellow Mepps spinners.

Anyway, lets get into the model. This pike model uses interlocked scale units to flex and swim. It uses 5 colors, but I've also provided a version where the light green is converted to yellow, enabling printing with just 1 AMS. There are also 3 different versions of this model; the standard proportions (mm), the Shorty (mm), and the Longboi (mm). What possessed me to make these? No idea ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
