Description

Keep your supplement scoop where you need it — clipped right to the jug. This parametric collar ring hangs from the threaded shoulder of a supplement container and holds a custom 3D printed scoop handle neatly alongside the jar. No more fishing around inside the tub.

The ring uses an L-shaped cross section: a thin top ledge rests on the jar's threaded shoulder, while a snug skirt grips the body below. The cage holds the scoop handle in a curved nestle arc that cradles it securely.

This is a made-to-measure design. You'll need to measure your specific jug before printing — jar body diameter, thread shoulder diameter, and scoop handle dimensions. All parameters are set in the OpenSCAD customizer or MakerWorld's parametric interface. A good set of calipers makes this easy.

Pre-configured profiles for common brands may be available in the remixes/comments section.

 

Measurements you'll need:

  • Jar body diameter (where the skirt grips)
  • Max thread/shoulder diameter (what the top ledge clears)
  • Scoop handle width and thickness (match to your scoop generator output)

Print Settings:

  • Supports: Strongly recommended— I used minimal tree supports with 0.29mm top Z distance for easy removal
  • Bed orientation: Flat face down (print orientation built into the file)
  • 2 walls
  • 0.20 mm layer height
  • 15–20% infill
  • PETG recommended — slight flex helps with installation and removal, good durability for daily use
  • PLA will work fine for a rigid fit
  • Avoid TPU — too flexible to hold the scoop securely
  • Print the ring and scoop in contrasting colors for a clean look (as shown in photos)
